Forms of Fray at The GoDown Arts Centre
Contemporary art that challenges conventional boundaries? August 15th to October 18th, The GoDown Arts Centre at Victoria Square, Riara Road presents one of the most thought-provoking art exhibitions in Nairobi this season.
The Banana Hill Arts Trust brings together five distinctive artists whose work explores the concept of “fray” – those moments where things come apart, overlap, or exist in states of beautiful deterioration.
Featured artists push creative boundaries: • Anita Kavochy – Known for mixed media work that challenges traditional forms • Jonathan Solan – Creates pieces that exist in the space between definition and abstraction • Gathaara Fraser – Explores cultural identity through contemporary artistic expression • Liz Kibukosya – Multidisciplinary approach to storytelling through visual art • Darlyne Komukama – Emerging voice bringing fresh perspectives to established themes
